Sree Saraswathi Vidya Mandira (SSVM) Somanahalli branch started in 1991, initially in the NTPC Campus and later moved to R.N.S Mandhara Layout in Somanahalli village. It is recognized by the Government of Karnataka for classes from Nursery to 10th Standard. Part of the SSVM Group which has over 6 schools with affiliations to CBSE and State Boards and a combined student strength of over 4000.
Admissions are given on the basis of performance in an entrance test conducted for primary and secondary levels. Admission formalities should be completed within three days after allotment of seats.
